The Commanding officer of the Pakistani Forces General AAK Niazi surrendered with his forces to the Allied forces of India and Bangladesh, which marked the end of the 9 month-long Bangladesh Liberation War and 1971 Bangladesh genocide and official secession of East Pakistan into Bangladesh. যখন রাজনীতি মানে,হাজার প্রতিশ্রুতি,আর স্বপ্ন দিন বদলের
যেখানে গনতন্ত্র মানে রাজপথে ছুটে চলা নীল মার্সিডিস
যখন প্রতিবাদ মানে দাউ দাউ করে জ্বলছে মানুষের লাশ
যখন আন্দোলন মানে টকশোতে দুটো গালি শুনে,রাজনীতির মুন্ডুপাত
আর হাসি মুখে মেনে নেয়া শত অবিচার
যখন ক্ষণিকের দেশপ্রেম থেকে বিজয় মিছিল স্মৃতিসৌধে
আর প্রতিজ্ঞা,দেশকে ভালোবাসার
