AFMC Admission Result 2021

AFMC has canceled their written exam on 9th April 2021 and they have taken their exam as per their new exam schedule and the exam has been finally held on August 14, 2021, as mentioned in the latest notice. For the covid-19 pandemic crisis, AFMC canceled their 9th April 2021 exam date but finally, they have taken their admission test through the covid-19 pandemic crisis. But they maintained covid-19 safety protocols strictly for taking their admission test.

Admission Test Education Qualifications

For 2020-2021 session admission, AFMC has allotted the following qualifications for the students –

  • AFMC, AMC cadet category: SSC 2017/2018 and HSC 2019/2020 science students must have a total GPA of 10.00 in the both SSC & HSC exam.
  • AFMC, AMC cadet category, and other five Army Medical Colleges Cadet: Students who have passed SSC/equivalent exam 2017/2018 and HSC/equivalent exam 2019/2020 from the science group must have a total GPA of 9.00 and the candidates with tribal quota needed the total GPA 8.00 for applying in AFMC. But the individual GPA of tribal quota for the tribal quota must not below the GPA of 3.50
  • In HSC/equivalent exam all participants must have a minimum GPA of 3.50 in Biology.
  • The students who have passed their SSC examination before 2017 are not eligible for the AFMC exam.

Armed Forces Medical College will evaluate the merit list based on students’ SSC & HSC and admission test numbers. Here is the process of evaluation –

SSC GPA x 15 = 75 marks

HSC GPA x 25 = 125 marks

Admission Test MCQ = 100 marks

Total = 300 marks

HSC students of the previous year have to face a cut of 5 marks in this MBBS/BDS exam of the 2020-21 academic year. However, students who are already admitted to any govt medical or dental college have to face 7.5 mark cut.

After publishing the AFMC admission test result, the eligible students will be informed about the date of admission and start date of the class through a notice which will be published on AFMC’s official website.

Some instruction of  AFMC Admission

AFMC’s AMC Cadet:

  • The candidate has to be a permanent resident of Bangladesh and unmarried.
  • The candidate’s age can be maximum of 20 years before 01 July 2020.
  • According to the published merit list, candidates have to face ISSB.
  • ISSB passed candidates will have to face a final medical test.
  • After the MBBS course, all candidates have to join Army Medical Core according to the need of Army authority.

AFMC’s AFMC Cadet and other 5 Army medical colleges:

  • The candidate has to be a permanent resident of Bangladesh and unmarried.
  • The candidate’s age can be maximum 20 years before 01 July 2020.
  • After the admission test, candidates’ GPA and admission test marks will be evaluated for the final merit list.

AFMC Written Test Marks Distribution

AFMC exam has been held at Dhaka cantonment including six other cantonments. The following subjects and mark distribution were in the exam –

  • Physics – 30 marks
  • Chemistry – 30 marks
  • Biology – 30 marks
  • English – 05 marks
  • General Knowledge (Bangladesh History and Culture) – 05 marks

In the written test, for every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks were cut and the minimum pass mark was 40. Students who have got less than that failed the written test.
