iPhone 15 Specialties and features
The iPhone 15 series might be one of the most exciting iPhone lineups we’ve seen in recent times. But that will only happen if the leaks are proven to be true. Apple is expected to make little changes to its existing iPhone lineup. Rumors suggest that Apple may scrap the iPhone mini-series and replace it with a regular-sized iPhone. So the upcoming iPhone series may include – iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Max, iPhone Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Not sure if Apple will use these names when shipping official devices.
Tipster Jon Prosser showed off the iPhone 15 a week before the iPhone 13 launch. Since then, numerous renders and mockups have emerged, most of which point to a design similar to the one shown by Prosser. But now, analyst Ross Young claims that Apple will use a “hole plus peel design” on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro. The design was first brought to the attention of a Twitter user who pointed out that the front camera will be in the hole while the Face-ID system will be in the peel.
Previously leaked design by Prosser reveals iPhone 15 with a single centered punch-hole camera. Thus pointing to the removal of the notch we have been seeing since 2017. The rear panel appears to be completely flat with no camera module and the camera sensor sitting flush with the surface. The render also shows a titanium frame with rounded volumes, which appears to be inspired by the iPhone 4.
Tipster Ross Young says the iPhone 15 will have a 6.06-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1170 x 2532 pixels and a 60Hz refresh rate. The iPhone 15 Pro with the same size display will get a 120Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the top-end iPhone 15 Pro Max is said to feature a larger 6.68-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The iPhone 15 Max, expected to replace the Mini model, may be equipped with the same display but with a 60Hz refresh rate.
Like every year, Apple will introduce a new chipset in the iPhone 15 series. The chipset may be called A16 Bionic. Leaks suggest that the chipset could be based on a 4nm or 3nm manufacturing process. However, there is a possibility that Apple will continue with the 5nm chipset as TSMC is facing production problems with the 4nm/3nm chipset.
Apple has increased the storage in the iPhone 13 series to 1TB. Now it is said that the storage of iPhone 14 Pro will be bumped up to 2TB. The company can increase the RAM up to 8GB in the Pro models and 6GB in the regular models.
A bunch of rumors point to the inclusion of a higher resolution primary camera in the iPhone 14 Pro. According to this, Apple may switch to a 48-megapixel camera, replacing the 12-megapixel camera used for years. The camera is said to be capable of 8K video recording. Taiwanese research firm, TrendForce, backed the report. So, there might be something to claim here.

In a recent leak, the iPhone 14 series pricing details were revealed by tipster LeaksApplePro. According to this, the iPhone 15 will start at $999, which is the same as last year’s iPhone 13. For the iPhone 14 Max, the leak suggests a price of $999 (roughly Rs. 80,990+).
In contrast, the prices of the Pro models are expected to increase considerably. The tipster reveals that the iPhone 15 Pro could be priced at $1,099 (roughly Rs. 81,700), while the iPhone Pro Max could be priced at $1,199 (roughly Rs. 89,200).
