Happy Valentines Day 2021: Quotes
“How did it happen that their lips came together? How does it happen that birds sing, that snow melts, that the rose unfolds, that the dawn whitens behind the stark shapes of trees on the quivering summit of the hill? A kiss, and all was said.” – Victor Hugo
“Love is our true destiny. We do not find the meaning of life by ourselves alone, we find it with another.” – Thomas Merton
“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.” – Helen Keller
“Life is a flower of which love is the honey.” – Victor Hugo
“Love is a canvas furnished by Nature and embroidered by imagination. Love is a game that two can play and both win.” – By Eva Gabor
“Give me a kiss, and to that kiss a score; Then to that twenty, add a hundred more: A thousand to that hundred: so kiss on, To make that thousand up a million. Treble that million, and when that is done, Let’s kiss afresh, as when we first begun.” – Robert Herrick
“Since Chip and I try to go on a date night once a week, we don’t feel the need to keep holidays like Valentine’s Day all to ourselves. We set the table fancy, we all get dressed up, and we serve a big, beautiful candlelight dinner. It’s our kids’ favorite, too.” – Joanna Gaines
“Be it Valentine’s Day, Father’s Day or Mother’s Day, I feel all days are reminders of some feelings. February 14 doesn’t hold any special relevance for me.” – Randeep Hooda
“Once, I was out of the house 93 days in a year. I was missing grandparents’ days at schools and kids’ birthdays and Valentine’s Day, not to mention the fact that when you’re on the road, you can’t get anything done. I had to learn to say ‘No,’ cut back on travel.” – Jerry Spinelli

Significance, history, and importance of Valentine’s Day
There are many stories behind the origin of Valentine’s Day, and here are a few. According to Britannica, Valentine’s Day has its origin in the Roman festival of Lupercalia which was held in mid-February. The festival celebrated the onset of spring. In this festival, women were paired with men through the lottery. It is believed that Pope Gelasius I replaced this festival with St. Valentine’s Day, and over a period of time from about the 14th century it was celebrated as a day of romance.
